WHY: Gamma Iota Sigma leads the insurance industry in collegiate talent pipeline development, and the Annual International Conference is the largest gathering for insurance and risk management students, with expected attendance of more than 500 of the best and brightest undergraduates from 56 colleges and universities. The conference offers a unique opportunity to convene top collegiate talent and a wide range of industry representation for three days of professional development, educational sessions, hot topic forums, and the largest insurance specific career fair in North America, with more than 60 exhibiting organizations, and more than 400 job interviews scheduled.

Recruiters Roundtable
Thursday, September 28 – 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM CDT

GIS hosts the second annual Recruiters Roundtable after an overwhelmingly positive response to last year’s session. GIS will again assemble recruiters from global and local companies throughout North America to review the summary results of a survey of student insights on recruiting best practices. Attendees will also have discussions around industry best practices, idea sharing amongst peers, and the opportunity to hear directly from GIS students and alumni on the overall recruiting process. This event promotes understanding between the industry and the students preparing to enter it.

Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) Service Partnership

Cyber risk has thus emerged as a major issue for actuaries, risk managers, and insurers, as well as for any organization that might potentially be a target of an attack. During this session, we will explore the nature of cyber risks, how such risks are covered by insurance policies, and the process for identifying, quantifying, and managing cyber risks.
