Each October, Gamma Iota Sigma brings together the best and the brightest of tomorrow's future industry leaders for a three-day conference designed to provide a stronger connection between the students and industry.  The Annual International Conference also provides programs in professional development, educational topic sessions, one of the largest career fairs dedicated to the risk management, insurance and actuarial science professions, and countless opportunities to network with industry professionals and faculty and students from local chapters.

The 41^st Annual International Conference will take place October 11-13, 2012 in Chicago, IL.  This year's conference is co-hosted by the Alpha Kappa Chapter from the Katie School of Insurance at Illinois State University.  The conference is expected to draw over 325 students from more than 32 colleges and universities in North America.  Student attendees have aspirations to be risk managers, actuaries, underwriters, brokers, consultants and agents in all areas of the insurance, risk management, and actuarial science industries and will be looking for internships for the summer of 2013 or full-time positions for January 2013 and May 2013.  2011 Participating Colleges and Universities

Conference Location

All conference meetings and events, with the exception of the Saturday Night Closing Event, will take place at Navy Pier!  View the Conference Agenda.

Conference Hotel

The official conference hotel is the Embassy Suites Chicago Downtown Lakefront.  A special conference rate of $219/night has been arranged.  Please use the above link to make reservations.  If you are an industry representative or making a reservation for an industry representative from your company, we kindly ask that you reserve a King Room so that ample Double Rooms are available for our students.  Room rates include a complimentary cooked-to order breakfast.  The Embassy Suites is just three blocks from Navy Pier.
