Educational Topic Suggestions

Suggestions

The below topic ideas have been compiled from past sessions given at the conference as well as suggestions from our faculty advisors and students.  This list is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of topics.  Please feel free to suggest your own topic based on the knowledge and expertise of your individual organization and presenters.  The Grand Chapter of GIS will work with you to ensure that your topic is relevant to the needs and experience of our students.

Audience/Intent

The breakout sessions for the students are intended to be educational in nature, building off of their current coursework and intended to enhance their understanding of the industry.  Sessions should be developed using current industry trends, hot topics and news and delivered on a novice level.  Prep calls will be scheduled with presenters within two months of the conference.

Topic Due Date

Session Topics and Descriptions are due no later than July 1, 2016.  GIS cannot guarantee sessions spots if this information is not submitted in a timely manner.
